~Meet Jen Berry

Jennifer Berry is a distinguished educator with over 29 years of experience in the field of education, working with individuals ranging from preschool through college.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in from Harding University and a Master of Education in from the University of North Alabama. She also earned National Board Certification (2018–2023).
In addition to founding and leading Willow Tree Learning, Jennifer serves as Executive Director of Educational Programming at Bear Creek Collaborative, an outdoor education and recreation facility dedicated to fostering outdoor environmental experiences and education. She has served as an adjunct instructor for the College of Education at the University of North Alabama, where she shared her expertise with aspiring educators.

~Meet Lakin Monroe

Lakin is an engaging educator with a strong foundation in language arts and a genuine passion for helping students grow as confident readers, writers, and thinkers. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education and has experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school students, allowing her to meet learners where they are while keeping long-term academic goals in view.
In addition to classroom instruction, Lakin has experience providing ACT and ACT Writing test preparation, supporting students as they develop the skills, strategies, and confidence needed for success on high-stakes assessments. She is known for building strong, trusting relationships with students and creating a learning environment where students feel both supported and challenged.
Lakin brings enthusiasm, warmth, and intentionality to her work. She believes meaningful learning happens when students feel seen, encouraged, and capable—and she is deeply committed to helping each learner strengthen their voice, sharpen their skills, and take ownership of their growth.
